Question about underage sex in celebrity relationships.
In a lot of states the age of consent is 18 and there have been quite a few cases of people over 18, charged for having sex with someone under. But if you look at celebrities, the issue isn't near as often brought up or looked at the same way it seems. I was reading how Justin Bieber is 16 and that he was involved with Selena Gomez, who is 18. Which means if they were ever caught having sex in an 18 state, she would be committing a crime.
But it seems when celebrities around the a similar teenage age difference (still close in age, but illegal), the law doesn't care to look into it. But when non-celebrities, do it, the law is enforced much more. Which I think is hypocritical. That's one example of the issue. Thoughts?
